Protaras is only a few minutes drive across the Cape and has wonderful beaches. Protaras is a relaxed town by the sea and you can also easily get here from Ayia Napa by car. Protaras lies between the village of Paralimini and Cape Greco and its main attraction is the Fig Tree Bay where there are wonderful beaches. The bay stretches over 10 miles of pristine sandy beaches and attracts locals and tourists to its sparkling turquoise waters. The beaches are lines with food joints but freshly grilled fish is a delicacy. Nightlife in this beachside town is active with taverns, bars and nightclubs although it is a much quieter version of Ayia Napa.
